School is back in session! I tried and tried to convince the girls to do homeschool with me, but they both got the teachers they wanted, so they opted to stay in school. We think it's so fun that their teachers are married, and it's even more fun that Chris and Jake have been such good friends for decades!
We are back into a normal routine. We have our days all set for piano and tumbling practices, and now have activity days added into the mix. It's been fun and balanced well.
Gwen is playing the clarinet in band! She originally wanted to play the flute, but when she got to try the instruments, she said she loved the clarinet more. She went back and forth about the two because she really wanted to like the flute more, but the clarinet won! It's so fun to hear her toot that little instrument. I love music and know all of our kids do, too!
Emily has been THRIVING at piano lessons! She loves it! It's hard to practice the first few days after a new lesson, but by the end of the week, she plays and plays and plays with so much accuracy! Wade will sing to whoever is playing the piano so that's a little extra boost of love.
I've been working as a clinical hygienist for the last few months and now have a set schedule with two offices. I like them both so much.
We had visits from family, a lot of morning walks, and a lot of playing in the hose to combat the high temps!

Finally had an overcast day and we all stayed outside as much as possible. |

Wade sometimes doesn't eat unless we do weird stuff like this. He wants to feel held but doesn't want to be held. Fannee Doolee, anyone? |

My bunco group always goes to Abby's cabin in Forest Lakes in the summer. |
