Update on the Cuteness of Gwendolyn

Gwendolyn was loving that wreath too much for a smile.

I told her I was going to take her picture, so she posed like this. Really, she just wanted to jump off the stair.

This was just a beautiful day in Flagstaff.

Gwen is the best primary companion teacher. I'm bad cop. She's good cop.

Still loves that cabinet.

Lunch date to Na D Li. She loves Korea, just like Dad!

This is how Gwen asks me to fill up the pool.

These are our favorite new jammies! They have cats and it is so funny!

Our dear friend babysits Gwen and makes her hair look good!

Pretty baby!

At our friend's home, getting serious with her music-ing.

Park lunch.

She's so pliable and squishy!

She empties her toys from here and sits in this. She typically falls out and hurts herself, but that won't stop us from doing it 100 times a day!

Jake has had a lot of opportunity in Show-Low lately, and one weekend he had a lot of surgeries to attend, so we made a trip of it! We got to watch Kate (his youngest sister) graduate, and overall Gwen and I relaxed while Jake worked his toosh off!

Mini looks good!

She's such a balancer!

We woke up really early one morning. Darn AZ sun coming up at like, 5 am!

I love my crew.
Jake and Gwennie forever!

We had dental appointments, and spent a lot of the day at Walt's office.

Waiting at Kate's graduation. It was great, but so hot!

Nashville, Tennessee

I had the opportunity to go to Nashville, Tennessee to present research at the annual American Dental Hygienist's Association (ADHA) meeting! Air fare and lodging were provided at the expense of the university, and I couldn't pass up the opportunity. . . and plus I worked dang hard on that research, so I was really excited!

Anna, Lundon, and I flew from Phoenix to Nashville on Tuesday, and we met up with Danica at the airport. We took a taxi to the hotel, and it was terrifying. If you've ever seen an episode of Gossip Girl, you've seen a taxi ride, and that's what I expected but I was oh-so-wrong. We were driving on the freeway with the windows down, nearly hitting cars on the left, right and even ahead of us. I wish I would've taken a photo or video, but I probably would've lost it out the window or something!

The hotel was beautiful, and in the heart of downtown. We were able to walk to the conference center and restaurants, and we averaged like. . . 5 or 6 miles per day.

Though our research didn't win, the opportunity was so great! I missed my husband and my baby, but I'm thankful for the chance to go.

Anna and I pre-flight. That box carried our research posters.

Not our plane, but the one next to us.

This was seriously the best!!!!

I haven't flown in ages, and my excitement for the trip showed. The flight attendant scooped me out of line to take this!

Me, Lundon, and Anna

Nashville has such beautiful churches! This is one of many.

This was a place that jipped my of ice cream, but the cobbler was worth it.

BOOTS GALORE! Every boot shop advertised by 1 pair, get two free!

I took a lot of food pictures. . . it was all so good!

Anna, Danica, and Lundon.

Mac and Cheese with spicy chicken. . . SO GOOD. Also, I weigh 3,000 pounds after this trip.

This wall was in our hotel. I loved it!

This little group was amazing. There was so much talent on the streets!

It isn't a concert without an ambulance.

This is a bridge to LP Field. People lined the bridge and listened to the music. It was so great!

This is a printing shop in the Country Music Hall of Fame.

During a lunch break, we documented all of our free swag.

This was about 1/2 of all the stuff I got. I had to throw some away to get on the plane, and the other 1/2 I'd already put away!

Day Camping at Blue Ridge Reservoir

About a month ago, Meredith, Tyler and Ridge had gone camping and invited us! We weren't able to go out to spend the night, but we were able to join them the next day for some playing!

We met nearly in the middle of our two cities (Payson and Flagstaff) at the Blue Ridge Reservoir! It was this great little camping spot with a beautiful little dam and lake about two miles up the way.

The Forsbergs treated us to lunch and snacks, and we really just played and played and played! Gwen was so dirty and SO tired by the time we headed home that she passed out in the car, and then woke up for a bath once we got home. As soon as that bath was over, Mini konked out again! She was exhausted from playing, hiking, and the sun, and we cannot wait to do it again!

Now, picture overload! These babies were too cute to not get a million pictures of!

Gwen and Ridge in the back of the truck, post hike to the dam.

Gwen, Ridge, and Aunt Merry

This place was just beautiful.

Don't mind our dirt-filled selves.

Gwen digging with a spoon. . .

Ridge digging with a spoon! HA!

At our campsite.

Mini's newest trick--climbing into this and tipping over.

Ridgey was pooped.

Gwen was trying to lead a walk.

Better view of the camp.

Ridge and I struggling.

Merry, Ridge, Tyler.

I cannot handle the cuteness of that bum in these granny pants.

Forcing handholds!

Notice Mini's snack of dirt, clearly evident on her mouth.

Ridge is an escape-er.

TP stuck on Gwen's foot.

Gwendolyn, kicking Ridge in the head!

What a sweet dude!
