August 2026

This month started with a bang! My work, Esatto, held a family event at Main Event. We bowled, ate, and played for two hours. It was fun and I got to laser tag with the girls. The best game ever is laser tag!!! They loved it and it was great to play that with my office co workers!

I saw Spiderman!!! So did Emily. I went alone, and she went on a family date with Morgan while Gwen was walking her schedule.

Wade met his teacher for preschool. He already knew her from church, but they had an event at school and he really liked it!

Emily got Mr. Hunter-Patt for her 5th grade teacher. She was over the moon with happiness. He's the best.

We really prioritized getting into our new normal routines for school. Gwen had basketball tryouts and made the B team!

Gwen played her clarinet with a junior high school band at the AZ Diamondbacks game, and we got it on film!!!

My choir finally performed after three-ish months of once-weekly practice! I wish there was a video or CD because the music moved me so much.

A photo of my choir, The Pan Project.

Wade ready for church and playing with his dino.

This is an inside joke personified with a photo. It's me and Shauni, with Paige half way in. She would come to practice sometimes, and she only did one concert out of 4. I loved it! She is a busy attorney and also the Sunday School pres, and she knows her limits! This picture was planned and we all laughed so hard!

My crew! Wade wasn't invited, and I wish I would've let him come because kids were welcome and dancing. But also, it would've been too much work for J.
Verity, Jere, and Meredith in 2008/09/10? Not super sure! But we met Jere while in high school when we did the Easter pageant. It was so fun to reunite and even better that he remembered us too!

Jere did a beautiful devotional about living in "The And"--you can have grief AND faith, sadness AND peace. It was beautiful and I think about it all the time.

Emily
I literally took this after washing my hands in the gym. I think I was impressed with my skin glowing and my shirt. After I took it, I thought about why I didn't dry my hands first. We'll never know.

Wade hanging around at Emily's first soccer practice.

Gwen hooping for Poston!

He loves school
Gwen at Chase Stadium

Jake took Gwen to the game.

This is how big the student band was! They played great!

Zoomed in on G. She said she was flanked with 8th graders and they were so nice to her and impressed she was in concert band as a 7th grader.

This is some kind of system and Wade filled his card pretty quickly. He was so proud!

Wade officially got on the wall. He is now yearning for the wall climb. The children yearn for the block wall.

Masyn, Gwen, and Ellis! Ellis made this sign for Gwen's first game. I was emo at her making such sweet friends so quickly.

Bubble braid for game day.

Cute sisters and the best number 3 we know.

Gwen after mutual at Rise Up bakery!

We went to this bakery for a lesson on baking with a tie in to Christ. It was awesome!

I love this girl.

Wade walking Fred on a Sunday morning.

Wade can't hang. We love his sleepy self

Gwen is getting laser treatments on her face injury from the 6th grade pool party.

Went to Milano's to rent a clarinet and ended up at Mad Candy. Downtown Mesa is so fun.

Kara Cox and Wade! She and I went to girls camp together and now she's his teacher.

Gwen!

Wade!

Emily!

We got bunnies! This is Honey.

This is Stryker.

Wade is proud.

Walking around the school!!!

At MacArthur's Meet the Teacher, the band from Mountain View played some music. Wade loved it.

More Wade content with Honey.
