In April, we spent the weekend with friends in Pine, AZ. We went to a cabin and divvied out food assignments and savored a few chilly days in the mountains. Gwen, Emily, Daniel, and I went with the group to Tonto Natural Bridge while Jake and Wade stayed back at the cabin. We hiked and played in the water, and it was so fun and beautiful.
There was a spring festival thing in Mesa, and we just happened upon it one morning. We watched a helicopter land at Pioneer Park, and Wade was so scared! Everyone else really enjoyed it. We had treats and enjoyed visiting with different people from the city, like police officers, firefighters, light rail drivers, and the people who fix the traffic lights.
Wade gets better and better at communicating. We've been able to figure out what he needs with his little speech and mannerisms, and he's also really been getting all over stuff and hiding in cabinets. He has broken several things, and we're totally fine with that, not even joking. Every time he gets wild and gets into something, we say something about being thankful he's here, and how babies get into things, and how everything is developmentally appropriate 😂
Gwen and Emily wrapped up a lot of lessons, like basketball and tumbling. It was nice to not have to make those drives weekly.
