Wade is one! Also, I have put the same number of months Wade is in exclamation points in the blog title. It was a fun thing I looked forward to each month!
He loves being outside. As soon as a door opens, he sprint crawls as fast as he can to make it out!
He isn’t walking, but takes a few steps every now and then. I told Jake that I predicted Wade would walk on my birthday, and sure enough he took 4 steps to me, but then he didn't try again. Today he started trying again! We watched him take 3 or 4 steps to Jake outside, and it is such a sweet thing to see.
He has a true, grown man’s appetite. Sometimes we’ll eat when he’s tired and he’ll rest his head on the table and push food into his mouth while “laying” there. His favorite foods are bananas. He can’t get enough. He also loves pears, strawberries, watermelon, and carrots. He eats eggs every day and loves butter.
Wade’s love of music is growing every day. He truly can’t help but dance when he hears a good beat. Grandma Jan and Grandpa Chris gifted Wade a very cool music turn table and he has been obsessed with it all day. It has four legs, but Wade is committed to pushing it around the house with him.
Waderickson is completely obsessing over Fred these days. He loves laying in Fred’s bed, and loves giving him toys.
Wade is absolutely horrified when the garbage trucks come for the barrels.
He loves to eat sand at the park, and learned how to crawl up the play structures and go down the slide all by himself. We love this guy!
We fight all the time over who gets to hold him. For his birthday, we let him eat all the sand he wanted at the park. What a great gift. A mom was walking around the park at the same time we were there and tried getting Wade to stop eating sand and sticks. I politely told her she could stop because we are okay with him eating sand and she was shocked. hahah! He had a stick in his mouth at that point, and since I was not conmcered about it, she actually took the stick out of his mouth. She meant well and I could tell she was a first time momma. It was sweet, but all for naught. haha!
