After the trek, life resumed.
The girls went back to school.
We went back to work.
We had family pictures taken, twice. Once for my portrait wall of the girls and Fred, and once for our yearly update.
I had a massive desire to go camping to get the trek out of my mind as the last camping trip we'd done so we went back to Forest Lakes!
The day before we were heading out, we got the terrible news that Uncle Brent (Vonnie's brother) had been in a car accident in Payson and died. His funeral was difficult, as you could expect from such a sudden and tragic incident. The music and life stories were beautiful, and the chapel was filled with love.
Trick or treating was a blast. We had trunk or treat on Saturday and went out on Sunday for more! We had a record number of trick or treaters, and we were both so glad about that.
