 The start of school was the best ever. 

Emily started full day kindergarten! She is still warming up to it, but has come so far! She didn't cry on the first day, and it wasn't until Friday that she cried because she missed me and couldn't believe it wasn't summer again after such a long school experience. Ms. Knight is now one of Emily's besties, and that could be in part to how complimentary she is to Emily's hair and makeup styles. 

Gwen is rocking and rolling in second grade. Her resource teacher got switched from Mrs. Powers to Mrs. Formichella. Gwen was super nervous about the change, but she handled it well and now really loves going to resource. Gwen got to have Ms. Redd again for her teacher! We all were so shocked and so pumped! We are big fans of Ms. Redd! Jake will joke with the girls and call the teachers Ms. Day and Ms. (any other color than red) Purple, Blue, Green, etc. The girls get a kick out of it!

At Meet the Teacher, Gwen and Emily saw some cheerleaders from one of our area's high school and they felt like they were meeting celebrities! Emily was so shy to even be in a picture with them. 

Emily has been owning her hairstyles more than ever. If she asks for a picture, I take it and that should explain the number of hair pictures. 

We went to the zoo the Monday before school started. We saw all of our favorites animals, and even ran into some school friends. We left after lunch. 

Gwen's teacher told us that if we took a picture of her at the school Barro's fundraiser that she would get a prize, so we took her up on it! It is so fun to have Ms. Redd again. We just love her.
