June 2026

Swim team, dive team, and lessons galore. Our children are made up entirely of chlorine and junk food.

If we aren't at a swim meet, dive meet, or swimming pool then we must be asleep. It seems like our summer motto has been Eat, Swim, Sleep, Repeat.

Gwen and I went to girls camp!!! I was the ward camp leader and this was Gwen's first year at camp. It was so great. I might have Gwen do her own little blurb on her camp experience. That would be cute.

Here's my take: Camp was so well thought out. From the placement of each ward in their respective addies, to the chore charts, the food to the relief station for adult leaders--this camp was one of a kind. In our own ward, I prepared like a crazy woman and I kept feeling the overwhelming truth of "the effort we put it was well worth this." The effort is worth it!!!! It took up a lot of time and most of the best things in life do, and it is worth it. We went snipe hunting, we had great devotionals, the girls did secret sisters, and we didn't sleep until it was over. We did a "Walk with Christ" and it was a spiritual invitation to create a relationship with Jesus and I was so thankful for my own opportunity to experience it, and even more thankful for Gwen doing it prior to her 7th grade year. We also had a dinner themed around 'Certain Women' in the scriptures. We learned about Deborah and Jael, Ruth and Naomi, Eve, the woman at the well, and more. It was a beautiful dinner than built on testimony of women in the bible. I'm already politicking to be camp director next year. We'll see if it works! HA!

Gwen's take on girl's camp: Hey, this is Gwen. Girl's camp was so fun. I have never felt so much love in one place. One of my favorite things was the walk with Christ. It was so cool--you would follow the lit trail and would hear people's stories and what they are going through and it was just like, you are not alone. Then they had you write something to change about your self--some were like my body,  or not being so mean to my self and so on and so on. Then you see what people said but you would not know who wrote it. Then after, you write what would he/christ say to you again. You don't know who wrote it-- some were you got this, i love u, just keep going. Some other fun stuff was going to bed at 12:00 or 1:00 am. We also tried getting a snipe, but all we got was 2 girls that were hurt and one the was traumatized. I was not one of the 3. I just can 't wait for next year bye.

Sweet Gwen.

We had several missionary farewells to attend, but our favorite was for our niece, Reygan. She's only been away for three ish weeks and already her emails are giving us life! She is so funny and sweet and we miss her so much!

Our neighbors, Angela and Angie, had their quince! We've been waiting for this day for the last few years and it was incredible. The party, the prayers, the food, and everything was great from top to bottom.

I joined a choir with Shauni and it's been a really great experience. The choir is a non-denominational one, but our songs are mostly Christian based. Each practice we talk about the lyrics and it's become a moment I can reflect on my own testimony and see Christ in my life.

Emily went to cousin camp!!!!!!! She and Delaney went with grandma and grandpa and toured all the Arizona temples. They had a lot of free time and dug too many holes. hahaha. From their stories I imagined a scene from the book and movie "Holes". They loved the adventures and the hikes. They loved the treats. Emily struggled with carsickness, but that's nothing new over here!

We celebrated Father's Day with the worst massages of our lives and it was terribly comical. We also went out to dinner to celebrate our 16th anniversary. Here's to 100ish more :)

Cousins at camp

He fell asleep during our book!

He told me he wasn't tired. I was working and he laid on his belly to be near me. He fell asleep three minutes later so I made him comfy.
