June was a busy month! Our wonderful, sweet, helpful and amazing nanny, Isabel, finished college and got an internship, meaning our time with her was done. She was so special and we were so blessed to have her for almost two years.
During the month of June, I took off a whole week to be with the kids. Jake was out of town in Colorado for most of the month, so I loved an opportunity to spend with the Gwen, Emily, and Wade. The girls had a few weeks of Boredom Busters throughout the month but we went swimming a lot during my week at home.
Meredith came and babysat with Mariah and Hunter and my kids were in heaven. The girls loved playing with the littles, and it was so fun for Wade to have his best friends around non stop. When Meredith left, Wade woke up and said, "Where Riah? Where Hunner? Where Mer Mer?" It was so cute!
Jake come home from Colorado and we celebrated our 15th anniversary with Korean food! We made Meredith come with us and the date turned into Jake being our third wheel while she and I cackled about old jokes and it was the very best time.
Swim team was in full swing. Practices were every morning from 8-9, and we had swim meets every Thursday. I was able to leave work early every Thursday to attend the meets, and it was so fun! Normally Jake will draw on the girls backs and arms for the swim meets. He loves it and they love it. Gwen had an allergic reaction to a marker, and Gwen had to get a steroid cream for it!
We had to replace the tires of our new-to-us Prius. The tires were old and one had a massive hole from a nail, so we got some pretty new tires.
Emily did a cheer clinic for a day at Mountain View.
Emily also sang at church with her activity days group! They practiced for a month and when they performed, it was so good!!!! They got a ton of compliments!
I spoke during our church meeting and did great, if I do say so myself. Lol!
Gwen kicked butt at her swim meets! Emily did incredible, too! This was the first year they were in different meet times, so we had to be there from about 5:30-8:30! Woof! It wasn't bad once the sun set a little more and we actually really enjoyed it. We would take our dinner and I would eat and Wade would eat seconds with me.
Wade is talking more and more! A friend told me to record him speaking so I wouldn't forget it. So far I've gotten some of his best quotes! I love him. I'll actually probably make a YouTube video but I hate all things about public YouTube so it'll be a minute before I figure it out.
